Quilts for Kids is a
wonderful organization that
is working to provide quilts
for seriously ill or injured
children and to save good
fabric from going into
landfills.
I requested a kit and this is
what I was sent. It arrived
in either strips or blocks.
Very little cutting was
required and the fabric was
top of the line.
The kits contain everything you
need for the top and back. You
need to supply the batting and
binding.
One thing they ask is that you
also provide a quilt made out of
your fabric to send back as well.
I was just tickled to find I had
the exact same striped fabric in
my stash. The print I'd had for a
long time just waiting for the
right was to use it up.
They insist that all the quilts be
machine quilted so they can stand
the rigors or repeated washings.
I was very happy to help out.
Both quilts will be quilted, bound,
and shipped out within the month.
