Photograph was taken by Joyce Ragels in Tucson, AZ, in her home.
I began serious sewing in the late 60s and early 70s when my daughter's
legs became longer than any pants on the market.
I kept sewing for a number of years until the quilt bug bit me about the
mid 80s. I had these wonderful beings called grandchildren and wanted to
build something for them they could love and enjoy. Over the years my
skills have improved, but I've got a long ways to go. I enjoy sewing and
find it very relaxing.
I figure I'll have to live to be at least 150 years old just to make all those
quilts that are racing around in my head. I don't plan on ever using up all
my stash and have already found a home for it when I die.
On the following pages are some of my creations.
