My name is Joyce Ragels. I am a born and bred desert rat and have lived in
Arizona most of my life. I have been wife to Glen J "Brownie" Ragels, mother
to Dolly, Robby, and Ricky, grandmother to Nicole, Ashleigh, Robin, and Ryan,
active military in the Army, stay-at-home mom who became a great cook and
baker, income tax office supervisor, income tax instructor, and processing
supervisor for the entire Tucson district of a large nationally known tax
service.
I am an enrolled agent(EA), Self Employed since 1985, quilter, rose gardener,
published poet, and lover of life.
I am a great grandmother to Justin Glen.
What is an EA? Enrolled Agent.
To become an EA, I passed a two day exam given by the IRS covering all levels
of taxation concerning individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and
ethics.
EAs are the ONLY Federally licensed professional tax advocates. I can work
in any state without further credentials or certification. A few states require
licensing, Arizona does not. Each state should. Mandatory continuing education
of 72 hours and ethics classes are required per three year license cycle in
order to maintain my EA status.
